Good one smiddy3. As a kid I was so interested in the moon project. Some how this threaten my dad. When I would talk about it he would get mad and say Jehovah would never allow man to land on the moon citing PS 115:16. He never talk about again after they did. Do you all remember when NASA turned voyager around to look at the earth after pasting I think Neptune. The earth was a speck of light showing how insignificant we all are compared to the universe. Yes that tower of Babel really was a threat to Jehovah. NOT! Still Totally ADD

Voyager 1 & 2 40th Anniversary of their Lift Off
by smiddy3 infourty years ago nasa sent two probes that were to go on a mission ,voyager 1 and voyager 2 in two trajectories through our solar system getting what information they could from the planets they passed close by.. 40 years later they surpassed all expectations and are still sending signals back to earth.. voyager 1 has actually gone into what is termed interstellar space that is it has exited our solar system free from the constraints of our own sun having travelled some 13 billion miles from earth.
voyager 2 which was on a different trajectory will soon itself leave our solar system and go into interstella space having travelled some 11 billion miles from earth so far.. both of these satellites/probes carry messages from the world of humans / governments to whoever might find it (alien life forms ) if they exist and find these probes.. my attention is drawn to the bible account of the tower of babel which really couldn`t have been that high seriously.and yet jehovah god felt threatened by what man could achieve if they had one universal language ?.
what must he be thinking now i wonder ?.

When in the Borg and listening to these letters I would always say to myself we can trust the Borg to do the right thing with our money. Now when I read this letter i can see all the escape clauses they are using by their wording. Unfortunately most of the cult victims will not see it and just say to themselves as they write their checks we can trust the Borg. Mind control is a terrible thing to waste and the Borg is not wasting it. Still Totally ADD

The Real Ark of the Covenant May Have Housed Pagan Gods - Haaretz
by fulltimestudent inaccording to the bible, the biblical ark of the covenant contained the ten commandments tablets, but some israeli archaeologists have a different view.. haaretz media site publishes the story:.
the real ark of the covenant may have housed pagan gods.
the holy ark was likely kept in jerusalem for much less time than the bible tells us.

Of course it does. Most of the Christian belief comes from pagan origin. So why wouldn't the Ark of the Covenant have pagan gods housed I it? Still Totally ADD

Does anyone under the age of 25 know what KFC stands for? (What about WT or JW?)
by stuckinarut2 inas we have seen, the society has so smoothly rolled out the rebranding of the organization in just a few short years!.
(in fact, i remember a thread post here a few years back, where it was mentioned that all halls are going to get the jw.org signs on them.
it was initially laughed off and doubted) https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/279409/jw-org-signs-put-on-all-kingdom-halls-new-directive.

Was out in the country calling on a single wide mobile home. The front door was wide open so you can see in as we walk up to it. The home was bouncing up and down and a sound of two adults laughing and screaming. All of a sudden a very large women runs past the open front door completely nude laughing and screaming. Seconds later a very skinny nude man runs past the open door shouting "come here you sexy thing I want you". The brother I was with and I stop dead in our tracks turn around and went back to our car laughing our heads off. To this day I chuckle when I see a old single wide mobile home out in the country. The Unique Power, Control and Status of the GB Members
by Finkelstein insomething to reflect upon is the real unregulated, power and control the gb members have.. such as they themselves cant be judged for their practice as being true christians according to bible scripture.. an example of that power and control,.... j rutherford the once head leader of the wts.
lived with a female assistant when he was separated from his wife ???
she declared that she was very much his wife in court under oath .

Flipper you say it so well. Fink I never thought about how unique the GB power is. They judge everybody else but themselves. They can do know wrong. I swear they could literally go out and kill someone be arrested, tried, convicted, put in jail and all the faithful would declare persecution from Satan and the apostates. Instead of looking at them as murderers. Can we all say CULT!!!! Still Totally ADD

I guess I was lucky. I turned 18 in 1972 and had to register for the draft. The war was slowing down and they started to have a lottery which went by the number of days in a year. Whatever birth date they pulled out of the hat was your number. I got a number of 360 which meant I went to a 1A classification to a 1H classification. I was told it was a holding classification and if the war heated up again I would be change back to a 1A classification. I was never contacted again. I still have my old draft card to this day. So no full time pioneering for me. LOL. Still Totally ADD

Do You Think Jehovah's Witnesses Are Typically Ignorant People?
by minimus ini think most witnesses are simple minded.many are ignorant.
there are a lot of basically "good people "in the religion but i believe many are kind of dumb, including many elders.
do you agree with my thoughts??

Isn't everyone to a degree. I guess I am ignorant. But I do know the Wt Is a cult and I was smart enough to leave. So please let me live my poor grammar ignorant life and live in peace. Kids ... and baptism.
by Tallon ini have noticed, from reading posts on this and other related websites, what to me is an alarming practice taking place within the jw's.
and that is the baptism of kids.. on a recent discussion posted by pe ( video of the girl now forced to shun her sister) this child was baptised at 9 years old.
all of us who were baptised at a much older age know of the many questions one needs to give serious consideration and understanding of to become eligible for baptism, not to mention the two baptism questions asked before being dunked.. surely the organisation must know that children of such a young age are not mature enough to fully grasp the seriousness, demands and consequences of making such a decision.. another point; if jesus is the example to follow, then why did he only get baptised at age 30, and he was perfect!.

It always makes me sick to my heart to think our grandchildren might be baptized at 9 or 10 of age. What ever happen to the teaching the parents through their obedience would save their children from armagdon? This was just another reason I woke up and left the Borg. Still Totally ADD
